New Bundle and Best of 25

For a limited time you can purchase the Bitty Butterfly punch and the stamp set, Papillion Potpurri together and save 15%. Several weeks ago I showed this card which uses Papillion Potpurri! I didn't use the Bitty punch but the Elegant Butterfly punch.  The Bitty Punch was used on the inside of the card.  If you would like to see the flyer enlarged, just click on it.

The Best of 25 Stamp set for September is now available!  Click on the flyer to see it enlarged.
This set will be on my next order.  My two favorites are the leaf and the bucket of apples!

You Made My Day

Today I have a card that I made using our Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape.  It is so easy to make a cute and quick card with this embellishment! I stamped a flower from the set Flower Shop and punched it out with our matching Pansy Punch.  I added several rhinestones to the middle to bling it up. My sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts, a set that I am in love with.

Polka Dot Pieces

I found the idea for this card on Sam Donald's website.  She is also a Stampin' Up! demo but she is located in the UK.   This card makes me smile because it is so bright and cheery.  It is somewhat hard to see in my photos, but can you tell the difference between the two cards, besides the sentiment?

The base of one card is Whisper White and the other one is Melon Mambo. It is a little bit easier to see the difference in the picture of them side by side.

The pretty polka dot paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is 12x12 paper in all 10 colors in the Brights collection. My flower comes from the set Polka Dot Pieces.  I stamped the large flower image once and punched it out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch.  The smaller flower was stamped twice.  The center of one was punched out with the 3/4" Circle punch and then I used the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch for the entire flower.  A rhinestone in the center gives it just a touch of bling.  My sentiments are from the Hostess set, Banner Greetings.

Happy Birthday, Tyler!

Yesterday was my son-in-laws 30th birthday and I made this check/money holder for him. It was a bit of challenge for me to make a masculine card. I had another Designer Series Paper in mind but then decided that it was too girlie.  I think this paper works from the Epic Day This and That DSP pack.  I knew that I wanted to have the number thirty on the card so I used my Big Shot and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die. They were cut out with the same paper as the holder.  I wrapped a belly band around it to to keep the contents nice and secure. I hope he liked it!

Mystery Hostess and Label Card Thinlits

Hi Friends,
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!  My husband, Mark, was out of town so I worked in my stamp room and that was fun. He is an airline pilot for Delta Airlines so he is gone quite a bit.  His schedule varies from month to month and when he isn't home I spend a lot of time stamping.

I made this card last week and used the new Label Card Thinlits.  Not only do you get the shape for the actual card but there are many more pieces to use.  I used one of the shapes in the Thinlets set for my sentiment which is from the set Six-Sided Sampler.  I stamped my butterfly with Staz-On (you really get a nice vivid black) onto Coastal Cabana and then punched it out with my Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526).   I used the set Polka Dot Pieces  and stamped the "flowers" with my Coastal Cabana ink pad.  I felt it needed some bling so I added rhinestones.  I love that sparkly look!

If you would like to order any of the products to make this card, use the Hostess Code that I mentioned last week.  The code is good until Friday and if you place an order using the code below, you will have a chance to win the Hostess Benefits, which will be at least $25 if the combined orders reach $150.  You must use the hostess code below when you place the order.  Please be sure that my name is in the upper right hand corner. Your order will come directly to your home and will begin processing immediately. I will notify you on August 24th if you've won and I will order your free products!!  Any questions, please let me know!

Good until August 23, 2013

Beautifully Baroque

Today's card is one that I made at a class given by Maggie Patterson and Ronda Wade.  It uses the beautiful new embossing folder, Beautifully Baroque.  This was the first time that I'd used our Core'dinations Cardstock (underneath my sentiment).  It is a thick, sandable cardstock that you use to create an antiqued, distressed look (I could have distressed it a lot more than I did).  Another new product on my card are the Candy Dots!  You can simply place them on your projects like our pearls or rhinestones or you can use the Candy Dots Brad Bases and turn them into a colored brad!  So cute!

Thank you for taking time to stop by my blog today!!

A Sweet Birthday

I guess you could say that I am definitely on a gift card holder kick.  Remember the days when you had to actually go to THE place of business to get a gift card??  What a pain.  Now it is so very easy to just pop into your local grocery store and peruse the wide array of gift cards.  Love it!

The base of my card holder uses the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts Big Shot die.  You use a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock.  It does not come scored as the picture below suggests but it does have the notched edges at the top and at the opposite end, little slits for those notched edges so that it will stay closed.

I scored mine at 1", 3" and 7 1/2".  It is a little easier to see what I did on this Very Vanilla one.  The one inch score line becomes a flap and the other becomes your pocket!

The inspiration for folding the base of my card came from Catherine Harwood and the embelishment idea came right from the big catalog on page 9.  I originally did not order the stamp set Cycle Celebration but as it always works, I saw it on a card and fell in love with it.

Zoo Babies Elephant

Another card using the cute set, Zoo Babies.  This time I used one of the new In Colors, Pistachio Pudding!  It is such a soft pretty color and the Ruffle Stretch Trim in the same color is so sweet.  I wish we had this trim in every available color instead of just the new In Colors.

Birthday Celebration

Another gift card holder!   Our daughter, Jenny, had her birthday in July but we are celebrating it today (she is 32).  We have several gift cards for her and this is just one of the cards I made for her. If you visit my blog regularly you will recognize this particular holder.   If you are new to my blog, you can see another one here.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside so that you can see where the gift card goes.  This card is so quick and easy and CUTE!

My husband brought home some flowers for me the other day.  I thought they were so beautiful and just had to take a picture to share with you.  Gorgeous, huh?
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today!

Lots of Banners

Hi Friends!
Have you noticed how popular banners are???  They are everywhere!  This card was inspired by one I received from Dawn Griffith.  It is so easy to make using two sets of Framelits in your Big Shot.  The banner came right from the set, Hearts a Flutter  and my hearts are from another set of Framelits called the Heart Collection.
Hearts a Flutter  #130159

Hearts Collection Framelits #125599

Honestly, the hardest part of this card is choosing which paper to use!  I decided on Eastern Elegance which is just so pretty in person!  My sentiment is from the set Lots of Thanks, fast becoming a favorite of mine.

If you haven't tried a card with banners yet, I hope this has inspired you!

Wildflower Meadow Thank You

Hi Friends,
Yesterday I needed several thank you cards that I could easily mail (nice and flat) and this is one of the cards I came up with.  I used Wildflower Meadow and stamped it directly onto a piece of Pistachio Pudding DSP.  I love it on the dotted paper!  I attached a piece of Ruffled Stretch Trim across the DSP and snipped it off at both ends rather than wrapping it around to the backside.  It is adhered to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar.  This is not a color combination that I would normally use but my handy dandy Color Coach (#130118) recommended it!  Such a valuable tool for creating color combinations!

My sentiment is from the set Chalk Talk which I punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and attached it  to a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle.  I used my paper piercing tool and pierced a hole in each scallop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Birthday Gift Card Holder

I love making gift card holders!  I made this about a month ago but never posted it.  You can see another one I posted HERE using the Birthday Basics DSP.

I used Bermuda Bay paper from the Brights DSP Stack.  I love these stacks of paper, especially the ones with dots.  I left the circle blank inside so that a sentiment could be written there.  As I am sitting her typing my post, I've been looking at the front of the card and thinking that I could have added more details to jazz it up.  I have to remind myself that it is okay to have a card front that isn't super busy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
