Hi Friends,
My card today uses the same layout as my card HERE. I simply changed the papers, colors and embellishments. I tried to choose colors and brads that were more masculine. I think I could have used some brighter colors for my sentiment but I am happy with it. Luckily this stamp set, Make a Wish, will be carried over in the new catalog as well as the 3/8" Glimmer Brads. The paper is from the Print Poetry Designer Series Pack that will be retiring on May 31st when the Spring catalog goes away. I hope that we will see a new pack like this in the Winter catalog!
Thank you for stopping by today. You can order Stampin' Up! products here from my website 24/7!

Parker's Onesie Card
I went to a baby shower yesterday! It was for my daughter's sister in law, Summer. She will be having a little boy in July and my granddaughter, Audrey, will have a new little cousin! Fun times ahead!
I found a nice tutorial on Becky Jensen's site and you can see it here. It was very easy to follow. I used a stamp set that is retiring in about two weeks called Baby Bundle. I stamped my images on Very Vanilla with Staz-On and then colored them in with my stamp pads and Aqua Painter. When you don't use watercolor paper, you have to be careful that you don't overwork the paper or it will begin to disintegrate on you. I typed Parker's name on the computer and then punched it out with the small oval punch. I wanted to simulate snaps at the bottom and knew that I was going to use brads but I didn't want them to show through on the inside. I punched three small circles from the Owl Builder punch, inserted the brads and then trimmed the ends of the brads with my Craft and Rubber scissors (which are also retiring). Then I adhered them to the onesie with glue dots. Sweet Baby on the envelope is from the set It's a Wrap Occasions.
Thanks so much for stopping by! You can purchase the products to make this card from my online store.

Flower Power
Hi Friends!
Today I have a sneak peek for you! Do you know which product on my card is new?? It's the embossing folder and it's called Modern Mosaic! You can purchase it in the new catalog which goes live on May 31st.
I saw a card with this layout some time ago by Rita Wright and knew right away that I wanted to try it. She used paper that has since retired so I decided to use paper from the Print Poetry Designer Series Pack which retires in a few weeks! What you can't see in the photo is that my flower has a lot of height. I used Stampin' Dimensionals on each layer. There are actually two of each of the flowers with dimensionals between them.
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you would like to purchase any of the products used to make my card, you can visit my online store here!

Spotlight on Tools
Hi Friends,
Today I am going to spotlight Sticky Strip (#104294)!! Stampin' Up! sells a wide variety of adhesives but when I want a super strong hold, I turn to Sticky Strip. Once in a while I will use it on a card but I always use it for 3D items. Sometimes an embossed layer for a card doesn't lay down well and that's when I use Sticky Strip on a card. It is double sided, 1/4" wide and you receive 10 yards, so it really does last a long time. Just as the name implies, it is VERY sticky so I have a pair of scissors that I use just for Sticky Strip.
If you would like to purchase Sticky Strip, you can visit my online store here.

Hello
Hi Friends,
My card today uses the stamp set, My Friend. This is the first time I've used the hello sentiment from it. It is so pretty in person with all the swirls. I think I will be using it more often! My background paper is from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper pack from the Spring catalog. You can only purchase this paper until May 31st. It comes with so many pretty papers. There are 48 sheets and each sheet is 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches.
If you would like to order any of the products used to make my card, you can visit my online store HERE.
Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!! Today is our youngest daughter's first Mother's Day!! You can see a cute picture of Erin and Audrey below.
This is the card that I made for Erin. She loves purple so the flowers were painted using Elegant Eggplant. The card base is Elegant Eggplant too!

Mother's Day Card
Hi Friends!
Today I have a Mother's Day card for you! I used the stamp set Fabulous Florets, one I have to admit I have had for some time but have rarely used. I used the Color Wash technique. I embossed my flowers and then painted them with Whisper White craft ink. After it dried, I used my Rich Razzleberry stamp pad and my Aqua Painter and finished coloring my flowers. My sentiment looks crooked - that is driving me crazy - but in person it is straight. :) It is hard to see in the photo but I also added some pearls in the center of each flower. The stamp set I used, Wonderful Mother, is retiring so get it now if you like it!
I'm giving this card to my mom for Mother's Day - I know she won't see this post before I give it to her. I have another Mother's Day card that I will show tomorrow!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Oh, Hello
Today's card is one that was inspired by a card I saw in Stampin! Success, a magazine for demonstrators. It uses the Honeycomb embossing folder for the Big Shot which has become one of my favorite folders. The stamp set I used is Oh, Hello. I stamped the chevron pattern in Crumb Cake and used my Oval Framelits and Big Shot to cut it out. To color the flower I used my Gumball Green and Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write markers and applied the color directly to the stamp. It is such an easy way to get different colors on a stamped image. I made a little bow with Linen Thread and adhered it with a two-way glue pen. I used dimensionals to apply the honeycomb layer to my card base to give it extra dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's Your Birthday
Today's card is another version of a card I made a few weeks ago. You can see it HERE. I made this card before I knew that Pretty in Pink was not going to be in the new catalog. Purple is my favorite color and I really do like this combination. We will have a new shade of pink in the new catalog so I will definitely need to see how one of my favorite colors, Elegant Eggplant, coordinates with it. My button is from the Subtles collection. Each of our collections of buttons will be changing with the new catalog because some colors are going away and different ones are being added into each family. These are on the retiring accessories list. Click here to see what is still available on the Accessories List!
