Baby Shower

I don't have a card for you today as I am still out of town. Yesterday my daughter, Erin, and I went to a baby shower thrown for her by her sister-in-law. There were so many nice touches and we had a great time!

Ribbon Flowers

I haven't had a chance to get into my stamp room since returning from Salt Lake City so here is a card I saw displayed at Convention. I thought it was a really cute way to use ribbon. I will definitely be trying my hand at this one!
This morning my daughter and I are going to another baby shower for her given by her sister-in-law, Summer. Baby showers are always so much fun! Erin is due in only 8 weeks, sooner if Audrey decides to make an early entrance!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Dahlias

Today was a travel day for me. I hopped on another plane to visit my daughter and son-in-law. This Sunday my daughter is having another baby shower and I am so happy that I can be a part of it!

My picture today is another convention photo. It is a very cute card using our new dahlias! I saw some other ideas using these little flowers and can't wait to play with them once I am back home.

Baby Bundle

I LOVE this card!!  I found it on Kelly Acheson's blog and  pretty much copied it exactly as she had it.  It is just so stinkin' adorable.  I used the set Baby Bundle.  Dimensionals were used to make the first drawer look like it's open.  The only time-consuming part is cutting  out the little pieces but that didn't really take very long.  One of these days I will have to try making it in blue!

Happy You

My card today is one that we made at my Hostess Club meetings last month.  This set is called Happy You and it is a Hostess set.  Don't you just love this image? I saw this card on Chat Wszelaki's site but I changed it up a small bit to work with the supplies I had.  My daughter is expecting a girl in September (SO EXCITED) so I've been drawn to baby cards recently! I will have another baby card for you tomorrow that we also made at my Hostess Club in June.  Thank you for stopping by!

Making Friends

I went to Convention by myself but met Kristina and Gina who invited me to join them for lunch the first day. We hung out together the rest of the week and I was so grateful to be able to experience Convention with them. Another friend I met was Joan and she took the picture of Kristina and I.

Here's to new friends!!!

Convention Video

Each year Stampin' Up! has a new theme and a video/song to accompany it which they show at Convention.  The theme this year is "i am." and in the video you can see Stampin' Up! employees at the home office lip syncing the song.  Shelli Gardner, the co-founder, is also in the video.  She is in the section where you see three women wearing shirts made from Stampin' Up! material.  The material is also behind them.  Shelli is right after them.  The cool thing is that we were watching the video at convention and then at the end some of the dancers and the singer came on the stage which was a surprise.  You can see this in the video.  They will pan the audience and you can "see" thousands of demonstrators, one of which was me!   This song is in my head - I am singing it constantly.  As you watch it, think how you would answer the question,  " I am __________."

I can't wait to go to Convention next year.  It will mark the 25th anniversary of Stampin' Up!  Join SU! and we can go to Convention together!  If you would like more info, please email me!

Almost Home

I left Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon. It certainly was hard to leave all of that excitement! I took hundreds of pictures which will be fun to go back and look at to help me remember the fabulous time i had!! I'm at my mom's house where we will be celebrating my daughter's birthday today. I missed it while at convention. She turned 31 and we will have a fun celebration tonight!!! Then we will head home tomorrow. Can't wait to get back into my stamp room!

Every day at convention we have a least one general session where all the demonstrators get together. Here's a picture of the stage.

They have huge screens all over so that you can see the presenters on stage. All of the demonstrators in attendance yesterday received the free stamp set, Moving Forward. So much fun! If you purchase this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 of the proceeds to Ronald McDonald's House Charities. You can find it on the back page of the catalog.

There are many, many displays of products and cards. I love their fabric which is used in the photo below. These flowers were made using a Big Shot die!

Here's my 3x3 swap. Once I get home I will share many of the swaps I received.

Last Day of Convention

Today is the last day of convention and I am sad that it is almost over. Back to real life tomorrow!

Many items from the Holiday catalog (which goes live on August 1st) were highlighted this week. Here is a picture of some leaves that were made with a new Big Shot die called Autumn Accents and our new Champagne glitter paper which looks BEAUTIFUL in person!

I will be purchasing both of these products!!

This top card was one of my swap cards and I made 112 of them. I love the combination of these two new colors together (Midnight Muse and Gumball Green). The bottom card is another variation. It is a bit more labor intensive so I opted with the top one for my actual swap.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll post my other swaps tomorrow! Have a great day!

Convention Continues

Yesterday I participated in a swap of 3x3 cards. I made 160 of them but received 160 back! I was too tired last night to look at them - it was a busy day! Today I am participating in a card front swap but only (only???) made 45 of them. Here they are laid out on my bed. The pretty colors are not showing up on my photo.

Here's a bag that I purchased in Memento Mall - I LOVE all of these colors!

I'm off to day 3 of convention!!! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!!

Convention!!

It's Convention time in Salt Lake City! I'm getting ready to board a plane in about an hour! I've spent weeks working on my swaps and I still haven't finished! Yikes! Looks like my evenings will be a bit busy finishing them up. My daughter Erin was visiting this week and she helped me every chance she could with my swaps! Thank you, Erin!!!! I will be taking lots and lots of pictures while I'm at Convention and will post them in the coming weeks. I'm not sure if I can do it on my iPad so I will have to wait until I get home! Have a wonderful week!! Tracy
