Treats for Boo!

I was able to use some of my scraps from my stash of Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP for today's card. I made my small squares using my 1 1/4 inch square punch and my large square with the Scallop Squares Duo die.  I love the Mixed Medley stamp set (Hostess set).  Do you see the little spider on the outside circle?  I don't care for spiders around my house but the one on my card is cute!

Frightening Feline

We used to have the sweetest little black cat named Misty.  We lost her several years ago and I miss her so much.  Any time I see a black cat it reminds me of her and I knew immediately that I wanted to purchase this stamp set, Frightening Feline.  I love this little cat and decided she needed a bling collar!  My greeting is from the stamp set, Delightful Dozen, which is a very versatile set as it covers a wide range of holidays.

Melon Mambo Field Flowers

Today I used this stamp set, Field Flowers, for the first time. I've had it for a long time but I think I shied away from it because I knew I would have to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig and that intimidated me.  But really, it is not a hard tool, at all, to use.  I was able to position my flowers exactly where I wanted them.  I even used it for my greeting.  So easy!  I cut out an extra flower and placed it on top of my top flower with dimensionals.  Love the look!

Baby Bundle 3x3

Love this baby card using the set Baby Bundle made by Jane Ries.  A 3x3 card such as this one, is the perfect size to tuck inside a wrapped gift or a gift bag.  I love the little details she added with the pearl, Baker's Twine and her sentiment.  Adorable!!

Kidoodles 3x3

Today's card is made by Arianna Wasserburger.  She used the set Kidoodles which is a great set to use for kids' cards.  It features an octopus, elf, spider, hippo, whale and of course, a monkey.  I like the sponging Arianna did around her Very Vanilla cardstock because it really adds dimension.  What kid wouldn't love getting this card? So cute!!

Easy Events 3x3

For the next three days I'm going to show you more 3x3 swaps that I received at Convention that I really liked.  This one is just so darn cute and was made by Lyn Schumacher.  It uses the set Easy Events which is a great set to own because it has a variety of stamps:  birthday, thank you, baby, wedding, Christmas, etc.  I love the glitter on his shell!

Candy Corn Holder Measurements

I've had a few emails today asking about my measurements for the Candy Corn holder.  My cardstock measured 4 1/4 x 11 inches which is nice because you can make two from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper.  I scored it at 4 3/4 and 9 3/4. If you decide to make one, I'd love for you to email me and show me what you created!

Take Care,
Tracy

Candy Corn Treat Holder

Here is another project using the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and the Cannery Framelits.  The inspiration for this came from fellow demonstrator,  Monica Gale and you can see her version here.  I used one of our medium cello bags for the candy corn (one for me, one for the bag, one for me .. . .).  My sentiment, Treats for Boo!, comes from the Hostess Set, Mixed Medley.  I LOVE this set as it has so many possibilities.  You can own one too with a $150 order.  You don't need to have a party to earn this hostess set, you can earn it by placing your very own order.

I'm thinking I might offer some blog candy after the birth of my first grandchild, Audrey Aurora, who is due any day.  That will be cause for some serious celebration!!! What do you think?

Have a great weekend!!

Birthday Box Card

My card today is one that I am going to go send off to a friend as soon as I finish this post!  It is called a box card and opens up to a box that is two inches high.  I realize I should have taken a picture from an angle where you can see that.  I am going to put a gift card inside and write a note on the Whisper White paper I put at the bottom of it.  The great thing is that it fits perfectly into one of our Whisper White envelopes!I made a belly band to fit around it so that it will stay closed.  The hardest part of this project was figuring what paper I wanted to use!  I like this card because it is unique and I hope my friend likes it too!

Wonderfall Triple Time

Today my card uses the same technique that I used yesterday, Triple Time Stamping.  It also uses the same colors as well but the difference is that I used a different stamp set.  To be honest, I wasn't sure I was going to like the results because I love the French Foliage set but I am very happy with how the card turned out using Wonderfall.

Enjoy your day!!

French Foliage Triple Time

Today I have another card for you using the Triple Time stamping technique.  After making yesterday's card, I thought it would be fun to make a Triple Time card with the same colors.  It really is a fun technique and you can make a card in no time!

Fall Leaves

My card today uses four new products from the Holiday Catalog - Wonderfall stamp set, Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and the Woodgrain Embossing folder!!  All of my leaves were die cut and then I did several different things with them.  Several were folded in half and then put in the Woodgrain embossing folder so that the leaves might look as though they have veins.  Another one was not folded but also put in the embossing folder. The other two were stamped using the Wonderfall set.  I used the Labels Collection Framelit for my sentiment.  I love all of these colors together - Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie!  The first day of Fall is almost here!  Are you ready for the change in seasons??

Baby Thank you

Last week I received an adorable baby gift for my granddaughter, Audrey and today I created this card to send to her.  What would we do without the kindness of others and the friendships that we have?

Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

Notepad Holder

Today I have a notepad holder to show you that I received from my friend, Kristina Dodson, at Convention.  I feel so fortunate to have met her this year and I am already looking forward to seeing her again at our next convention in July!  We live thousands of miles away but are still keeping in touch via email.  She made this beautiful Notepad Cover with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The flower is embossed with white embossing powder. Gorgeous!

Creamsicle

This is another beautiful Convention swap that I received from Sheryl Wheatley.  It isn't even beginning to feel like Fall here in Central California.  Our temperatures are still in the 90's - UGH - and this card looks yummy enough to eat right now!!

Perfectly Preserved

I find it very funny that you can not really care for something and then completely fall in love with it.  I did not care for this stamp set when I first saw it. After I started seeing so many projects with it, it became a set that I really, really wanted! And of course I had to purchase the Framelits to go with it. I was really happy that this set came in a bundle because I was able to save 15% on both the stamp set and Framelits (see page 29 in the Holiday Catalog).  There are SO many different ways to use this set and this is my first card using it.  My inspiration came from Stampin' Success which is a magazine that demonstrators receive each month and it is filled with great ideas.

Have you ever thought about joining the Stampin' Up! family? When I joined I only did it so I could get my discount on all their great products which I did for the first year.  Now, three years later I am running several clubs, have a blog, attend Convention, have a Facebook page, joined Twitter . . . . .  It is so much fun to share my love of papercrafting with others.  If you have a wish list a mile long, you might want to think about becoming a demonstrator.  Feel free to email me with questions. I had a million questions when I started thinking about it.  I would love to have you on my team!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Wicked Cool

The inspiration for this card came from fellow demo, Lisa Rodriguez, at Convention.  She put on a wonderful event the day before Convention and made several projects for each of us using this stamp set, Wicked Cool.  After seeing what she made I HAD to go buy the stamp set for myself.  I love these colors together! Purple is my favorite color so any time I can use it in a card, I am a happy girl.  I used the shimmer paint in my spritzer again but it is hard to see it in the photo.   You can always double click on the picture to enlarge it.

Double Pocket Treat Holder

This is a quick and easy project!  On one side you can put a little treat such as candy or a gift card (I'm partial to iTunes gift cards) and on the other, a little note. There's no adhesive required to assemble the holder.  I chose to use some ribbon and a brad to hold it together but you could just use a brad.  Using a 12 x 1 1/4 inch strip of DSP and another piece measuring 6 x 1 1/4 you can make the cute rosette.  I simply used my Simply Scored and made scores at every 1/2 inch.  Then I attached my two pieces together and folded it accordion style.  While holding this piece, use your hot glue gun and spread some glue on the top part and immediately place it on the NEW Silicon Sheet (in the Holiday Catalog).  Wait at least ten seconds and your glue and rosette will peel off the sheet. It is so cool!!  Now shape it into a rosette and glue your ends together.  If this is totally confusing, let me know and I can take some pictures.

I am very determined to start filming videos.  Last night I did a tutorial (nothing that I would post as it was a practice one) and spent hours figuring out how to edit it.  I think I've finally got the hang of it to at least make a video.  So, I hope to get one made soon.

We are still on "baby alert" waiting for our granddaughter to be born.  The excitement I feel is just so hard to keep inside - a new little person in our family! I feel so blessed that this is the year I decided to retire from teaching.  I can take off at a moments notice to spend time with my granddaughter. I'm sure once she is born I will have some cute pictures to share!

Take Care,
Tracy

Fall Telescoping Card

Last week I showed you a telescoping card and here's another one I made using Fall colors.  I LOVE this set, French Foliage.  Here are a few projects I made last year with this set.  Please ignore the big black exclamation point.  I used to have a cute signature that is now replaced by that ugly graphic that I don't know how to get rid of .  This is a pretty easy card to make with the help of your Big Shot!

Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Spooky Bat

My inspiration for this card came from Ronda Wade.  I just fell in love with her little bat and had to give him a try.  I also have shimmer mist on the card which is a bit difficult to see.  If you click on the picture it should enlarge it and you might be able to get a better view.  My googly eyes are from the Holiday Catalog - 50 adhesive-backed eyes for $2.50!  I made my bat using three punches:  the owl punch (I cut off the legs), 1 3/4 inch punch (cut in half) and a 1/2 inch circle punch to make notches in his wings.  The stamp set is Wicked Cool.

Have a great week!

Lip Balm Holders

I bought these lip balms at Convention for my Hostess Club members and of course, I had to make something cute to put them in! I saw a tutorial over at France Martin's blog and I tweaked it just a bit.  I used our new Polka Dot Parade paper which has really become a favorite of mine.  I love bright, cheerful colors and these papers are exactly that!  They looked so pretty all sitting together.

I hope you've had a relaxing and/or fun weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Telescoping Card

My card today is called a Telescoping card. It folds up to look like my first picture but then opens up as shown below.

I had a difficult time getting a good picture of the card opened up.  Perhaps it is just too late at night and it would have been better with sunlight. Oh well, I wanted to post tonight so hopefully you can still see it well enough. This was my first try at this type of card. I made a few more and I will show them later in the week. We will be making this type of card at my two Hostess Clubs this week!
