Oh, Hello

Hi Friends!
Today's card is one that was inspired by a card I saw in Stampin! Success, a magazine for demonstrators.  It uses the Honeycomb embossing folder for the Big Shot which has become one of my favorite folders.  The stamp set I used is Oh, Hello.  I stamped the chevron pattern in Crumb Cake and used my Oval Framelits and Big Shot to cut it out.  To color the flower I used my Gumball Green and Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write markers and applied the color directly to the stamp.  It is such an easy way to get different colors on a stamped image.  I made a little bow with Linen Thread and adhered it with a two-way glue pen.  I used dimensionals to apply the honeycomb layer to my card base to give it extra dimension.

Happy Monday!  I hope you had an enjoyable weekend and that you were able to adjust to the time change with Daylight Savings Time in effect.  It is always difficult the first day, isn't it?  I did enjoy the fact that it didn't get dark until later in the evening!

I spent my Sunday working on a video for today.  I have a new computer AND a new editing program so it took some time trying to learn it.  Thank goodness for YouTube videos as I saw some there that helped me out!! I tend to be a perfectionist but realized if I waited for this video to be perfect, I would never post it!!!  So, here it is!

Last week I spotlighted the Big Shot so I wanted to make a video showing how to use the embossing folders.  I LOVE my embossing folders and use them on 95% of my cards.

Patterned Occasions

The inspiration for my card came from Connie Babbert.  When I saw her card, I instantly fell in love.  I made a few subtle changes with the products I had on hand.  I love the new Honeycomb Embossing folder and it is so striking on this card!  The beautiful paper comes from the Print Poetry paper stack  (#129312) in the Spring Catalog.  There are 48 sheets - 4 each of 12 double-sided designs and each sheet measure 4 1/2 x 6 1/2.  It really is a beautiful pack of paper!
